HONORING CALEB

At 70 years old, a grieving father battles his body, his past, and the grueling 26.2 miles of the Marine Corps Marathon to finish the mission his son never could. This is a true story.

The world knows the Marine Corps Marathon as "The People’s Marathon"—a race defined by honor, courage, and commitment. But for 70-year-old Loren Murfield, it’s not just a race. It’s a debt.

Eighteen years prior, Loren lost his son, Caleb, a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, to a battle that didn’t happen on a foreign battlefield, but in the quiet, dark corners of his own mind. Now, on the 50th Anniversary of the MCM, Loren is stepping onto the pavement of Arlington to carry Caleb’s memory to the finish line.

This isn't a "sports movie." It’s a story about the epidemic of suicide, the challenge of losing a son, and honoring those who have served and sacrificed. It’s about the "Jarhead" spirit that lives on in a father who refuses to quit.

"Most people run to find themselves. Loren is running to find his son."

Honoring Caleb is a tribute to the fallen, a roar of defiance against old age, and a heartbreakingly beautiful reminder that the hardest miles are the ones we walk—or run—for those we’ve lost..
